Section C
Residency Program Profiles
The Program Directors of each specialty were surveyed about their specialty. This information is unedited and fairly subjective. It tells the real story about each specialty.
In this section, you'll find the strengths, workload and research expectations of each specialty. The Program Directors also provide insightful medical student tips that you might find useful. In 2008, Program Directors across Canada were surveyed to submit a new Program Profile or update the existing Program Profile. If no response was received, it was assumed no changes were necessary.
Over 40 new Program Profiles and 80 edited profiles were incorporated into the edition.
